San Francisco Bay Area vocalist Karen Marguth is one of the most acclaimed vocal artists to emerge in the 2000s. She has released six albums as a leader, three of which have been listed in DownBeat’s annual Best of the Year issue, and one which received a rare four-and-a-half stars.
Named "one of the finest American jazz vocalists" by Jazz Times, she continues to quietly produce albums that receive international acclaim while holding down a day job as an educator. She has served in public schools as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach for the arts and literacy, and as a consultant for the National Writing Project and the International Baccalaureate Organization.
Joining Karen will be Mike Taylor on guitar, Nathan Guzman on drums, David Aus on keys, and Clare Reinhold on bass.
The weather in May will be so nice. Let's have an outdoor show! Snacks and light beverages will be included in the ticket price. You are welcome to bring your own wine or beer.
